Facile modifications of HKUST-1 by V, Nb and Mn for low-temperature selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides by NH3

HKUST-1 catalysts were impregnated with vanadium, niobium and manganese species tested in NH3-SCR for NO removal. No reduction of by NH3 was registered the unmodified disappearance attributed to adsorption. After a pre-treatment at 185 °C, best catalytic performance found HKUST-1-Mn 100% 80% conversion NO, respectively °C. For first time, H2O tolerance examined on commercial promoted Mn. The addition water vapor resulted decrease conversions, which immediately recovered when feeding stopped. dropped from 74% 68% after 35 min addition.

Highly dispersed Fe2O3 nanoparticles supported on carbon nanotubes, prepared by a simple ethanol-assisted impregnation method, showed above 90% NO conversion and selectivity at low temperatures (200-325 °C). Moreover excellent durability and stability towards SO2/H2O was obtained.
